By placing an order with BISWAS RETAIL CO., and the brand VastrMitr (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you acknowledge and agree to abide by all the policies, terms, and conditions set forth on our website (https://vastrmitr.in/legal/). We strongly encourage you to read and familiarise yourself with all the policies and terms, as they govern your relationship with our company and the use of our products and services.

1. Order Processing Time
We strive to process and ship orders promptly. Orders are usually processed within 1 to 3 business days after placing them. Please note that order processing time may be affected during peak seasons or special events.
2. Delivery Timeframes
The delivery timeframes depend on your location and the shipping method selected during checkout. Typically, deliveries are made within 1 to 10 business days after the order has been shipped.
3. Delays
While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery, there may be unavoidable delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, lockdowns, weather disruptions, or courier network issues. In such cases, delivery times may be extended, and we cannot be held liable for delays once a shipment is handed over to the courier. Refunds, cancellations, or compensations are not applicable solely due to shipment delays caused by third-party logistics or unforeseen events.
4. Shipping via Third-Party Courier
We partner with trusted third-party courier services to handle the shipping and delivery of your orders. These courier services are selected based on their reliability and track record.
5. Shipping Restrictions
At this time, we only offer shipping services within India. Unfortunately, we do not ship outside India.
6. Order Tracking
For most shipments, we provide tracking information to help you monitor the progress of your order. You will receive tracking details via email or through your account on our website or app.
7. Partial Shipments
In some cases, if an order contains multiple items and one or more products are unavailable or on backorder, we may ship the available items first as a partial shipment. The remaining items will be shipped separately when they become available.
8. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the package. The applicable shipping charges will be displayed during checkout, allowing you to review the costs before completing your purchase.
9. To-Pay (ODA Charges)
For pincodes falling under Out-of-Delivery-Area (ODA) — typically tier-3 cities, remote towns, or hard-to-reach regions — courier companies may charge additional doorstep delivery fees. For example, a courier may charge an additional ₹600 for sending a special vehicle to your location.
Since these charges cannot be calculated in advance, we do not collect them during checkout. Instead, the courier will collect this amount from you at the time of delivery. This arrangement is called “To-Pay” — meaning courier delivery charges are to be paid directly to the courier upon delivery.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for paying any such additional charges if your location falls under an ODA zone. Refusal to pay “To-Pay” charges or refusal to accept delivery will result in the shipment being returned, and all applicable shipping costs will be deducted from any eligible refund (if applicable).
10. Shipping Address
Please ensure that you provide an accurate and complete shipping address during checkout. We are not liable for any delays or non-deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information.
11. Shipment Damaged During Transit
In the rare event that you receive a damaged shipment, please note that shipments damaged during transit are not insured by us, and we cannot be held liable for any damages that may occur during the shipping process. Such shipments are not eligible for return. Buyers are advised to place orders at their own risk, understanding that any damages incurred during transit will not be covered by us.
If buyers wish to protect their shipments against damage, they have the option to purchase insurance for the shipment at their own expense. To arrange insurance coverage, buyers can contact us to discuss the available options and associated costs.
Additionally, buyers may also choose to arrange their own courier service to pick up products from our warehouse and deliver them directly to their address. By opting for this method, buyers can have more control over the shipping process and choose a courier service that aligns with their preferences and requirements.
By proceeding with the purchase and accepting the delivery of the products, buyers acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions related to shipment damages during transit as outlined in this clause.
12. Proof of Delivery (POD)
In the event that a shipment is damaged, tampered, or has a missing number of items, it is the responsibility of the recipient to clearly mention such discrepancies on the Proof of Delivery (POD).
The POD must be requested from the delivery person before sharing the OTP to acknowledge receipt of the shipment, and any discrepancies must be written on it. If the shipment is delivered without any remarks on the POD, it will be considered delivered in intact and good condition.
We strongly recommend a thorough inspection and documentation of the shipment’s condition upon receipt. Additionally, the recipient must share an image of the POD with us within 24 hours of receiving the shipment. Failure to include these notations on the POD may result in the denial of any claims, including returns, refunds, or exchange requests.
13. Failed Delivery & RTO (Return to Origin)
If a shipment is returned to us due to incorrect address, customer unavailability, refusal to accept, or non-collection from the courier, it will be treated as a Return to Origin (RTO). In such cases, two-way courier charges (forward and return shipping) will be deducted from any eligible refund. If the order was placed with Cash on Delivery (COD), the advance token amount will be forfeited to cover shipping and handling costs.
14. Change of Shipping Address
Once an order has been placed, requests to change the shipping address can only be accommodated if the order has not yet been processed or dispatched. Once the order is shipped, no changes to the shipping address will be possible.
15. Jurisdiction
All disputes, claims, or legal matters related to shipping, delivery, or orders placed with us shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India. No other jurisdiction will apply, regardless of the buyer’s location.
16. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to amend, update, or revise this Shipping & Delivery Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available at https://vastrmitr.in/legal/ and will apply to all purchases made after the date of such update.
